How much do CPA review courses cost in 2026?

Every major CPA review package price, as published by the provider, converted to Indian rupees at ₹97/US$. This is the single clearest illustration of why the India price matters.

INR figures convert at ₹97/US$ and exclude GST, customs and the card forex markup that typically applies to international purchases. Eduyush bills in INR with a GST invoice, so ₹32,500 is the amount paid. Surgent's own US pricing for the Premier Pass moves frequently with promotions and published figures varied widely when we checked, so we compare against Becker's and Gleim's own posted prices rather than quote a Surgent US number we cannot pin down.

Who owns Surgent, and does it matter?

Surgent Accounting & Financial Education was acquired by UWorld in a deal announced on 30 April 2026, having previously sat in the KnowFully Learning Group portfolio. UWorld is a privately held education technology company founded in 2001 which, by its own account, has helped more than five million students prepare for high-stakes exams. The Surgent deal was UWorld's third acquisition in accounting and finance education, after Roger CPA Review® in 2018 and Wiley's Efficient Learning portfolio in 2023. Surgent has stated there are no plans to change the brand name, with "A UWorld Company" being added to brand references over time.

There is a wrinkle worth naming, because it affects how you read any CPA comparison written before mid-2026: UWorld sells its own CPA review course and is therefore both a competitor to Surgent and now its owner. UWorld's stated rationale for the deal was portfolio breadth — Surgent's continuing professional education library and its exam review platforms complementing UWorld's existing CPA, CMA and CFA courses — and UWorld separately describes Surgent's exam review as using adaptive technology to build personalised study plans around each candidate's strengths and weaknesses. We would not read the acquisition as a verdict on any single feature. What it does mean for a buyer is continuity: a review course is only as good as its commitment to updating content as the AICPA revises the blueprint, and "access until you pass" is only worth something if the platform still exists in three years. A well-capitalised owner with a long track record in exam prep speaks directly to that.

What does the CPA actually cost from India?

The review course is only part of the budget.
